There are fewer different types of Pokémon cards than there are in the game. For example, in the card game, the Fighting, Ground, and Rock types fall under the same type of card: Fighting. Poison and Psychic types also fall under one type of card: Psychic.
1. Normal-type Pokémon ( light gray )
We start with the most common type: the Normal type. These Pokémon are often the most accessible and do not show any particular weakness against other types except the Fighting type. They are versatile and can adapt to different circumstances. They are strong against Ghost type.
2. Fire-type Pokémon ( red )
Fire-type Pokémon are, as their name suggests, related to fire. They are powerful against Grass- and Bug-types, but be careful: Water will easily extinguish their flame.
3. Water-type Pokémon ( blue )
Water-type Pokémon are at home in lakes, oceans, and rivers. They are effective against Fire-types, but must beware of the conductive power of Electric attacks
4. Electric-type Pokémon ( yellow )
Electric-type Pokémon are charged with electricity and are powerful against Water and Flying types. But beware, they are weak against Earth types.
5. Grass-type Pokémon ( green )
Grass-type Pokémon thrive in nature and can charge themselves with power from nature. They have powerful attacks against Water- and Rock-types. However, Fire-types quickly wither them. Just like in real life.
6. Fighting-type Pokémon ( brown )
These Pokémon are masters of physical confrontations. They are strong against normal and rock types, but psychic Pokémon can dodge their attacks and weaken their muscles.
The fighting type also includes the Ground-type Pokémon. Ground-type Pokémon are firmly anchored to the earth.
7. Psychic-type Pokémon ( purple )
Psychic-type Pokémon have extraordinary mental powers. They are effective against Fighting and Poison types, but Dark types can have their thoughts darkened.
8. Dark-type Pokémon ( black/charcoal )
Dark-type Pokémon are skilled in dark attacks and strategies. They are strong against Psychic and Ghost types, but must be careful with Fighting and Fairy attacks. Dark-types are known for their cunning and tactical approach to battle
9. Dragon-type Pokémon ( gold )
Dragon-type Pokémon are majestic creatures with powerful attacks. They are effective against other dragon types and have good resistance to water, grass, electric, and fire-type attacks, but must beware of ice and fairy attacks.
10. Steel-type Pokémon ( dark gray )
Steel-type Pokémon are hardy and have high resistance. They are strong against Rock and Fairy types, but be careful with Fire and Fighting attacks, which can break through their steel skin.
11. Fairy-type Pokémon ( pink )
Fairy-type Pokémon exude kindness and elegance. They are strong against fighting and dragon types, but must be careful with poison and steel attacks. Fairy attacks often have a magical effect on opponents, making them unique in strategic battles. The Fairy type is the last type to be added to both the card game and the digital game.
